Demand for Test Engineers with experience using any of the HP/Mercury automated test toolsets remains strong. If you have been in QA for a while and are trying to transistion to doing automated testing, there are a couple of things to consider. First, you will need to have some taste for acquiring programming skills. Second, certification for both the functional automated test tools (WinRunner and QTP) and the performance and load test toolset (LoadRunner and related products) is available. You can pursue certification directly from HP/Mercury or from their local partners, like Orasi in Atlanta. Until tomorrow, good luck and happy hunting.
