Ok, so I’ve given away the fact that I’m a bit of a geek with the Star Wars reference. The wise words of a 900 year old Jedi Master couldn’t be more true than when applied to forging your way to a new career. There will be an almost unlimited number of things to distract you from your goal, not the least of which are the many “opportunities” that will be presented to you from time to time. For the most part, these are a waste of your time, and will do nothing but keep you from achieving the goals you are working towards. Focus on the ones that can help you by limiting your information intake, and you will be able to maintain focus.

One of the other fields that is very popular with freelancers is photography services. I’m not a photographer, but my girlfriend Karen is, so she helped me compile this list. I’m not generally a big fan of the so-called “bid sites” (elance.com, scriptlance.com, etc.), so I’m not going to list them here right now.
